WELCOME TO MY TEAM IN TRAINING (TNT) HOME PAGE!

Dear Friends and Family,

It is time again for an adventure to the starting line of another Ironman!  This journey will be very different from the last, since I now have two little fans routing me on!  On July 24, 2016, I plan to arrive on the shores of Alta Lake to compete in Ironman Whistler.  That’s right another 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and lastly a 26.2-mile run.  Yikes!

As I thought about what it would be like to dedicate this amount of time, effort, and sacrifice to make it not only to the start of this event, but to make it to the finish line successfully, I wanted to make sure that there was a cause behind the scenes.  As I think about what is near and dear to my heart, I have one consistent thought, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.org).  I dedicate the effort and passion of my training and the event to the memory of my dear friend Lindsay Berghuis.  I cannot think of a greater tribute to her.

As I train over the next six months, I will participate in a modified Team In Training (TNT) program.  As the TNT program does not officially participate in long-distance triathlons, this is a built-to-fit program.  Lucky for me, the Seattle TNT program currently has an Olympic distance triathlon program that I will be shadowing.  While my distances will be longer, I will have the coaching and mentor program to support my efforts.

My goal is to raise awareness and support for the organization and at least $2,000 in fund raising.  One hundred percent of this money raised will go directly to the research for finding a cure!  Please support me in my effort for finding a cure for a tragic cancer that mostly effects children.
