Thank you so much for taking the time to come to my donation page. As many of you may or may not know I decided to take my passion of running and putting it to good use. I am in fact running to save lives. With Team In Training i'm going to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. At first this was about me getting back into the running scene and getting fit but life had other plans apparently.
On January 11th 2011 I registered for Team in Training to get fit, back in shape and run a half marathon. I was excited and giddy and posted my fundraising link right away on my facebook page. Not minutes later my childhood friend Tim posted that he found out he had stage 3B Hodgkens Lymphoma. Everything right then and there stopped. I called his girlfriend right away hoping it wasnt true but was informed it was indeed reality. I started to break down in tears but realized what I had signed up for. What I was doing was a way to improve research, to find a cure, to raise money to save Tims life and so many others lives by running.
I'm running for a cure!
And with that said all I am asking is for help. Please help me by donating to my fundraiser, and if you can't then please do me another favor and pass this link on to your friends to help me out. In fact if you can donate, pass this on anyways. because every penny helps.
Thank you so much for your time.
Elisha
