Thanks to everyone who supported me during my training to run the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon. With your help, we raised $1753.30 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our Northern & Central Florida team raised $75,000!
Check out the cool medal I received for completing the Space Coast Half Marathon! It was a great training run for next month's full marathon at Disney World.
Today marked the longest run yet in my training - 9 miles. Started before sunrise, and finished in a decent time, so I'm happy.
Then, spent a couple of hours this afternoon manning a fundraising booth with other Team In Training volunteers.
Thanks again to everyone who has donated so far. If you haven't yet, there's still time!

Please spread the word!
Saturday morning, I ran 5 miles with our Team in Training group on the West Orange Trail in Winter Garden and did amazingly well! One of my fastest times yet, and it included walking breaks.
So naturally, last night, I slammed my baby toe into my office chair, and either broke or bruised it very well. I've done this once before, so I know the only treatment is ice and taping the little toe to the one next to it
I didn't run today, and will probably cross-train this week until it's feeling better. At least, it's still only September and the race isn't until January. I'm not worried! I will be back to running soon.
In the meantime, I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far. I'm more than a third of the way to my $3,000 goal. This money will go a long way towards helping find a cure for blood cancers.
