I am taking on a brand new endurance challenge this year. I am competing in the Ironman Augusta 70.3 on September 28, 2014 as a participant in Team in Training. The goal is to raise money to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I am hosting a raffle to help raise funds to continue this battle. This is the biggest endurance challenge I have ever faced. Please consider making a donation to help those enduring the challenge of these terrible diseases.

How to Participate
You can't spell triathlon without the word tri. Everyday, people battle blood cancers. The only option they have is to fight and keep trying. To help them with their challenge, I am taking on a brand new endurance challenge. I'm training to participate in the Ironman Augusta 70.3 on September 28, 2014 as a member of Team In Training.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am committed to completing this event to honor individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Help me make their fighting easier by making a donation to LLS to help advance the research for cures. All donations are tax-deductible and no donation is too small.
60 years ago today, Roger Bannister achieved the first sub four-minute mile in 1954. The four-minute mile is the standard for all professional middle distance runners. It is also a marker in the world of blood cancers. Every four minutes, someone new is diagnosed with blood cancer. That means that every mile an elite runner completes, a new person is diagnosed. And every 10 minutes or 2.5 miles, someone dies.
With Team in Training, every mile completed by our team will lead to money going towards research to stop the clock on blood cancers. I hope to see a day where a plaque is posted that states where blood cancers were cured.
