WELCOME TO LOREN MICHELLE'S TNT HOME PAGE!

Without a doubt most of you know I always had  big ideas.  If you've ever been to any of my dinner party's you've probably heard me ask one of my favorite questions.

What have you done this year that you're really excited about ?

Some of you may cringe when I ask this  question,  but I love this question, because I get so inspired about hearing about everyone's accomplishments and I get energized by what people are passionate about doing in their lives.

I myself am a believer that anything is possible and that we all can reach and exceed our full  potential's and that  life is met to be lived.

Last May many of you may have known that I completed my first half marathon. The inspiration to run this race came from watching the NYC marathon and seeing everyday runners in all shapes, ages and sizes achieve their goal of running 26.2 miles.  As  I cheered from the sidelines I became inspired by how many people were taking charge of their health and pushing themselves to achieve such a milestone.

I decided that day to train for my first half marathon and get my health back in order.  This same year I turned 50 and I decided that my next physical  challenge would be to do my first Olympic Triathlon.

On April 2, 2017 I will be swimming 1m, biking 25m and then running 6m on the island of Hawaii with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society  whose mission is to wipe out cancer.

I have decided to dedicate my first Olympic Triathlon in honor of my dad Michael who passed away as a victim of pancreatic cancer;  one of the worst cancers out there.

I feel very strongly about making a difference in supporting an organization that believes in providing, research, support and care to patients and their families struggling with cancer.

In honoring my dad I want to share with you why he means so much to me.

My father Michael was a man who lived his life to the fullest.  He was a man that when you met him you immediately wanted to be around him.  He was funny, charming and well read.   He loved traveling and biking and he loved the outdoors.  He was an avid birder even at a young age.  On weekends you could find him doing crossword puzzles, cooking his favorites dishes, going out to new restaurants and always  planning adventures.  My dad in sum was my hero and he passed away to young at the age of 65 just a month before he would retire.  For this reason I am honoring him as I challenge myself with my first Olympic triathlon in his memory.  He is my inspiration for how he approached living his life and I want to do the same.

I hope you will share my passion to celebrate my father's life and or honor someone special you know by donating a charitable contribution in their memory to cure cancer.

I can't do this without you. Please help me reach my goal of raising $5000 for this worthy cause. I am asking you to donate whatever you can from as little as $1 to as much as $1,000.

To keep this all in perspective I am seeking 100 sponsors (friends - family &  work colleagues ) to contribute $50 each and or 50 sponsors to contribute $100 each.

Remember that all of the money raised is for a worthy cause.

Here are some important things about where your money goes.

  • - 75 cents of every dollar raised  goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
  • -Patient services funds go directly to patient care and counseling often to pay costs not covered by insurance.
  • -Research funding has helped develop treatment and cures that have increased the survival rate from 4% in 1960 to 85% now.
  • -Your tax donation is 100% deductible especially important at the end of this year

See the enclosed link to donate to this great organization and learn more about LLS and all the incredible work they do.

Lastly please send me the names of the people you're remembering and whom may have been touched by cancer as I will be creating an honor bracelet for race day.  The names of all will give me inspiration to finish and I will be thinking of them while I strive to complete my first Olympic triathlon.

Thank you so much for your support.

Loren
