Meet our first timers!
Jan 30, 2013 by Judith Ackerman

The hardest step in training for an endurance event is signing up! Please welcome our teammates who are training for their first Team in Training event:

Lauren Czeizler (NY) - Lauren's first race will be the inaugural Nike Women's Half Marathon in DC! She plans to donate 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love if she reaches her $3,000 fundraising goal.

Jared Hattaway (Salt Lake) - Jared's first race will be the Ogden Marathon! He has run several half and full marathons, but Ogden will help him reach his goal of running 1,000 miles in 2013!

Alyse Athans (NY) - Alyse's first race will be the NYC Half Marathon! She hopes to raise $3,000 while she runs in memory of her friend Kristin.

Victoria Cacicedo (NJ) - Victoria's first race will be the NYC Half Marathon! While this is her first endurance event, Victoria is not new to the discipline of athletics. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do!

Ina Rinas (San Francisco) - Ina's first race will be the Oakland Half Marathon! She has high aspirations for 2013 and plans to top her first half marathon with a full marathon in the same year! Ina is running for her mom and grandmother.

Kayla Whidden (Salt Lake) - Kayla's first race will be the Ogden Half Marathon! She has already completed a century ride, so running will be a breeze!

Rachael D'Silva (NJ) - Rachael's first race will be the Nike Women's Half Marathon in DC! She has hiked to the highest points in NY and NJ in the same weekend! Now she's making the transition to running - and hoping to like it!

Matt Wilkinson (Salt Lake) - Matt's first race will be the Ogden Full Marathon! He is obviously not afraid of a challenge, Matt has sung the National Anthem at a San Francisco Giants game!

Cathy Huang (NJ) - Cathy's first race will be the NYC Half Marathon! She may be new to TNT, but Cathy has supported LLS through the Light the Night Campaign since high school.

Mike Cahill (Salt Lake) - Mike's first race will be the Ogden Marathon! He ran track and cross country in high school, but he's looking to go the distance in 2013!

Lacy Taylor (San Francisco) - Lacy's first race will be the Rock 'n Roll San Francisco Half Marathon! She's athletic by nature and looks forward to adding an endurance event to her list of activities!

Seth Tringale (NY) - Seth's first race will be the NYC Half Marathon! He loves to surf...is there a triathlon in his future as well?

Lena Derisavifard (Salt Lake) - Lena's first race will be the Nike Women's Half Marathon in DC! She's running in honor of her uncle and hopes to raise $4,000 for the cause.

Christine Chan (NJ) - Christine's first race will be the NYC Half Marathon! She is running to help make cancer a thing of the past!

Jacob Drummond (San Francisco) - Jacob's first race will be the Oakland Half Marathon! He is running in honor of this mom and hopes to exceed his fundraising goal.

Show some support for these fantastic teammates! Go TEAM!

Our team is made up of 39 outstanding colleagues who have set out to make a difference in the fight against cancer. As individuals, we can make a difference. Together, there’s no telling what we can do.

Across different cities, we have come together to create a national team of endurance athletes with one common goal - to honor and benefit all individuals battling blood cancers. We are proud to announce that we have bridged three cities and our team is comprised of colleagues from the New York, New Jersey, Salt Lake City and San Fransciso offices!

We, along with other Team in Training teams across the country, will be raising funds to help find cures and more effective treatment for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. As a team, we can accomplish great things towards cures for blood cancers.

Many of us have a personal connection to the cause. Together we can save lives. Your support will help us reach our goal. No contribution is too small. To support our entire team, "Donate to a Team Member" on this page or select a team member to the right to help an individual reach their fundraising goal.

We're very excited to collaborate for this important cause. Thank you so much for your support.

Go Team!
