I still can't believe it. On April 15th I ran in The Boston Marathon. The weekend was amazing and the race was exhausting. I poured my heart out with every step. I did not quite reach my time goal, but I finished. With every step I had to focus on my WHY. This cause, raising money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is WHY I ran. Although the race is over, I am still collecting donations. As of today I still have $4900 to go to meet my goal and would love your support. Every dollar helps us get closer to a cure.
Thank you all for everything you have done to make this campaign successful. You rock!!!
Forty years ago my wife, Rachel, was diagnosed with leukemia and given a 10% chance of survival. On February 3rd she celebrated her 42nd birthday.
During her treatments she was told she would never be able to have kids. Four kids later, she has again proven the ability to defy the odds.
Five years ago my dad was diagnosed with polycythemia vera, a rare blood cancer, requiring daily chemo and weekly blood draws.
THIS HAS TO STOP. WE NEED A CURE!!!!
I am doing all I can to help. On April 15th, 2019 I am running the full 26.2 miles of The Boston Marathon to raise funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society so others do not have to suffer. I beg for you to help.
If you have not given yet, please consider it. 1.2 million other Americans are waiting for a miracle, and your donation could be it.
Miracles require us to move. This is your chance.
You can give directly on this website ------->

visit me at BDs Mongolian BBQ in Flint on Wednesday, March 13th from 5-8pm as I work the grill.
37 days....eeeekkkk
I am getting super nervous. My legs hurt all day, every day. My back aches. I can't get enough sleep, but I am not giving up.
In 37 days, I am running in The Boston Marathon because a cause so much bigger than my own pride and sense of accomplishment needs my support....and yours.
On April 15th, I am running 26.2 miles to raise funds fto help us find a cure to end blood cancers. I am committed to endure all that I have to to help make sure others in the near future will not have to suffer anymore.
Please read below to learn how this cause has a personal connection to me, and I beg you for your support.
Your donation fuels me to keep going and inspires thousands others to keep fighting.
This spring, let's all commit to give of ourselves to save others. We got this!!!
Did you know that 1.2 million Americans are currently diagnosed with a blood cancer?
Did you know that last year 58,000 Americans died as a result of a blood cancer?
There are a lot of fundrasiser out there, but none that make an impact the way The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society does.
Since 2017 34 out of the 39 cancers drugs approved by the FDA were funded by the LLS.
In 2018, 4 new drugs were approved for AML leukemia (the first drugs approved in more than 40 years).
You know my story. You know my connections.
This year I am running in the Boston Marathon but I need your help.
I am looking to raise $10,000. Literally every dollar counts.
"It is never a good time to have cancer, but there's never been a better time to join the fight against it."
As a kid I always wanted to grow up and be just like my dad. He was in the military. He became a firefighter and a deputy for the sheriffs department. He was strong. He was tough. He was smart.
Five years ago, however, this man who I believed was invincible began fighting a fight similar to what 1.2 million other Americans are fighting. Taking a round of medication daily, going in for weekly blood draws, constant doses of chemotherapy, my dad is now fighting against blood cancer. I am so proud of his perseverance as he refuses to be discouraged or quit.
My dad is one of my heroes and one of the reasons I am begging for your support.
To help find a cure, I have committed to run 26.2 miles on April 15th in the Boston Marathon. As a part of this endeavor, I have also committed to raise $10,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. LLS is one of the world's greatest contributors towards researching a cure (since 2017, 34 of the 39 FDA approved cancer drugs were funded by LLS).
I would be beyond humbled if you would consider supporting this amazing cause.
