Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the Pittsburgh 1/2 marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

As some of you may know I have lost two family members to Leukemia and Lymphoma. My Uncle Jim passed away when he was only 29 from Leukemia, about 18 months after he was diagnosed. In 2004 my grandmother passed away from Lymphoma less than 3 months after her diagnosis. I am participating in TNT for the Pittsburgh 1/2 marathon because fighting these cancers is extremely important to me. I hope that someday people diagnosed with Leukemia & Lymphoma (particularly at a young age like my uncle) are able to have a full and long life.
