Racing To Save Lives

Pauline will not give up! [And Pauline started training while she was in Africa - above and below.]

As you may recall, Pauline tried to train for a marathon last year (Marine Corp in Washington, D.C.) and was unable to complete the training because of some pesky surgery.

Well, she's back and trying again. I will not give up until I have conquered this marathon. This time I am trying the Corning Wineglass Marathon. This marathon seems a bit more apropos for me since I am a huge fan of wine. If this doesn't scream "Pauline's first marathon," I don't know what does. And I am thrilled that the money I raised last year is able to be applied to my fundraising goal for this year. Those who supported me last year may certainly do so again, but it is not required (but I will like you better).

I am a proud member of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. My Team in Training members and I are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Many of you may remember that I raised funds for LLS a few years back by training and completing the century ride in Lake Tahoe. In case you missed it, or don't remember, the pictures and the story are viewable at my personal website www.pwhoffmann.com.

You may make a donation online through this website. You may also send money (checks/cash) directly to me. If you want to have a bit more fun, you may schedule a tarot card reading party. I will entertain your friends in your home (or wherever) for a fee. Tax-deductible tarot card readings - what fun!

Also, remember that my sister and I own a natural body care company (www.wildmountainorganics.com). Purchase any of our products (call or email rather than ordering online so that it will be credited to Team in Training) and 50% of the sale price will be donated to LLS.
