"I Can't believe I finished"" All 13.1Miles"

January 9, 2010 I completed the Walt Disney World Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. I trained as a member of Team AnnaLynn and ran a half marathon in honor of my niece, AnnaLynn Surace with 13 of my family members. AnnaLynn was diagnosed over one year ago with leukemia, and was in remission unitl January 15. She is presently embarking on a new battle, in a journey to be a recipient for a BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT..

This marathon represents the long road of treatment and recovery that blood cancer patients, like AnnaLynn, must endure. Each step of the half marathon is one step closer to finding a cure. Tremendous progress is being made, in 1965, 95% of all children diagnosed with the disease died – now over 89% survive.

The advances that are helping AnnaLynn and others combat this disease are only achieved as a result of contributions made by donors, such as yourself, that support leukemia research and treatment. With your help, a cure can be found!

I made a personal commitment to raise a minimum of $3,800 .Which I have succeeded in.!!!. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been nationally recognized as one of the top most efficient and best managed charitable organizations. At least 75 cents from each dollar will be dedicated directly to the Society’s mission, and you can be assured your contribution will be well managed to fund the Society’s local efforts including quality research programs, community service and education, and patient support.

Any contribution, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated.
