Because I can run, I can give...

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I know the total does not look like i have met my goal, but a few are in the mail! THANK YOU! Everyone has been so kind.

If you are here to donate please visit Natasha's site at Nike Women's Marathon she is still fundrasing for her event or my new page for the PF Changs Rock N Roll Marathon that I will run in January. I have just begun fundrasing for that event.

I am lucky enough to enjoy running. I am lucky to be able to run. In fact, I am lucky to walk, laugh with my kids, work full time. I am lucky to be able to give back to those who need more luck!

I am racing (not running) the 2008 Chicago Marathon October 11, 2008. I want to qualify for the 2009 Boston Marathon. To do that I have to finish in under 3:10:59. Not an easy task. However, I have wings this year, the hope of finding a cure for blood cancer will lift me. Knowing that I am helping families with parents or children suffering from blood cancers will lift me. I will have more help than I know what to do with.

That is where you come in! There are TOO MANY sick kids out there. I would rather have no extra wings and have to crawl to the finish, than to know these kids are dying of blood cancers.

Glory Gench, Trevor Kott, and thier families will get me through this training and the race. My task is to help their families and others in pain, get through thier race. As of May 15th, I have run 630 miles in 2008. I expect to run well over 500 more miles just in training for this race. I need $.20 per mile. If 100 people give JUST $25, we can meet and beat this goal!!!

Natasha is also in training, she will be running the Nike Women's Marathon the week after I run Chicago! Go Tash.

Please donate, please come back and check on me. You can also view my training log (here) or read updates about Natasha and I and our training (here).

Thank YOU!!!

I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
