Check out www.asthmathlon.blogspot.com to keep up with my latest blog posts.
The blog posts keep on coming. I post two to three times a week, so keep checking back for my latest musings, failures and a variety of other subjects.
I went biking this morning with Shaun Meller, who went on to smoke me up and down Pinebrook Blvd and then up Stratton Road. I don't know if my Sunday morning trashtalk-and-pass move in the timetrial had anything to do with his performance this morning, but I have learned my lesson.
Tonight, I am going to my first Team-In-Training swim training, which means one thing. That's right - tweeting, underwater. I'll update you on my progress as I swim. For those who use "The Twitter", I always include a #skippy2, so you can find my posts.
I have a couple of new blog posts up at http://asthmathlon.blogspot.com/ for your amusement. I am also trying to tweet a little bit along the way using the #skippy2 hashtag (I know that there is a possibility of running into some peanut butter related tweets, but it's a risk I am willing to take). I am hopeful that after teaching us how to reach for a water bottle while we ride our bicycles, our trainers will teach us how to tweet while we run, ride and, most importantly, swim.
I am extremely proud to be a part of Skippy's Team, which is an amazing group of men and women who have dedicated themselves to tremendous physical and fundraising goals. As I progress towards my own fundraising and training milestones, my admiration only increases for everyone that I am training with.
If you don't already know, I am blogging about my experience training for this triathlon at http://asthmathlon.blogspot.com. I have never trained for, or participated in, any sort of endurance event, so this is a new experience for me. From day 1, it was clear that I would have to laugh at myself (a lot) to push through the pain and doubts that have popped up throughout my training. I hope that my blog entertains you, makes you laugh and, most of all, encourages you to contribute to a most worthy organization, LLS.
Thank you for all of your support! - Avi
