It's the season of 3's
My 3rd event-Training in memory of 3 relatives-Raising $3000 for Leukemia research
It's going to be a Triple Crown Year!
11-04-12 - Wow, what an amazing place Zion National Park is. Saturday I did a 5 mile Hike to Scout Lookout (yes, the height was a challenge for me but I did it) and then a 6 mile hike through the Virgin River ( Loved that) Monday Brenda and I drove to Bryce Canyon and did a 3 mile hike and Tuesday we did the short 3 mile Watchman hike back at Zion. It was amazing country and heights I have never been to (Bryce is 9100 feet elevation Yikes). Thank you all again for your generous donations.
9-30-12 - Yahoo! Thanks to so many of you for donating to my page, I have reached my goal. A special thanks to Scott and Laura Hatfield for putting me over the top! After 5 months of seriously challenging hikes in Washington (I never knew there were so many places to hike) we are ready for our event weekend in Zion! We leave Thursday and will return on Tuesday. I will think of each of you and all those that I continue to raise money for the fight against Leukemia who have suffered and won or lost their battles. Your support is so appreciated by so many, not just me. More pictures below of my team and of Katie Kish, my little friend that is continuing her fight with Leukemia. She is in my heart on every hike as are Leo, Luann and Eugenia
UNCLE LEO - AUNT LUANN - GRANDMOTHER EUGENIA
This year I will be joining the Hike team and training to hike Zion National Park October 6th 2012. I am dedicating this season to three of my husbands family members that have lost their battle with cancer. That's why I keep participating in events that raise money for cancer research in hopes that all my future events will be in honor of survivors!
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Stay tuned for updates as my training progresses and thank you for you donations and continued support

4-30-12 Did a 9 mile hike last Saturday! It was a beautiful day again. We hiked Poo Poo Point on Tiger Mountain. Incredible. I was pretty tired but Sunday we did the Top Pot Donut 5K and my legs were screaming then. You couldn't ask for anything better, outside in the fresh air, beautiful forest and hiking with the funest people. I'm loving this team and we haven't even officially started yet. You can join our fun if you like
