Special thanks to those of you who donated cash. Your names didn't appear in the My Thanks To section: Beth Torgerson, Tara Rumsey, Brenda Melton, Hiedi Hill, Carloyn, and Melissa.
Also special thanks to everyone who donated to my yard sale fundraiser: Christine Mitchie, Mary Harris, Sherri Harwood, Cindy Delaney, and Rainie Day Flippo. The sale wouldn't have been a success without you.
Choose what is good
We always choose the good, and nothing can be good for us without being good for all. ==Jean-Paul Sartre
Choosing to look outside of yourself, your present circumstances, and your world will make you a more complete person. Please donate to those who rely upon the help of someone whom they don't know.
Powerlessness
I run in honor of every person I couldn't save. Many people in my family on my dad's side, including my dad, died of various forms of cancer. Several people on my mom's side died due to conditions related to mental illness. I know powerlessness.
With Team in Training I take back some of the power because the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is making progress. Every week I learn of someone who has survived because of research and patient care through LLS. Please donate.
Phlegm
I have been coping with a nasty chest cold for the last two weeks. My treadmill workouts are nice because of the indoor warmth. Unfortunately, the over-the-shoulder glances as I am hacking up a loogy are uncomfortable. The team workouts are great because I have plenty of wide open space for spitting.
Today I will be running nine miles. A big deal for me. I hope to not have so much phlegm coming up. However, I am able to spit pretty far now.
Ready to Run
Saturday, February 14th I was lovin' my first run in months. I haven't been able to run since the motor vehicle accident I was in last May. But on Tuesday, my doctor sent me off with a couple perscriptions and an okay to run. Yay!
I am also super excited to be a part of such an amazing team with so much support for running and fundraising. It is incredible that seventy-five cents of every dollar donated goes to research and patient care. Wow!
For every dontation I will attach a ribbon to my race jersey in honor of your loved-one. Thanks and Go Team!

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Rock n' Roll Seattle Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
