Racing to Save Lives
I am training to participate in the Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon in Seattle, June 27, 2009 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
As many of you know I began training for an event with Team in Training in 2007 but due to my pregnancy with the twins I had to postpone my participation. I am VERY EXCITED TO have another opportunity to train with this great group of people!!
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am running in honor of a young friend, Jake Johnson, and my Uncle Jim Danielson, both leukemia survivors, as well as all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!I
