Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training which is taking place June 27th in Seattle. All of us on Team in Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma, blood cancers, from taking more lives. As a member of Team in Training, I have a mentor, a coach, a crazy training program and many teammates to support me. I have committed to train every day, with team trainings on the weekends, and I have promised to raise $2,800.00 in donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This is a fundraiser that is one of the dearest things to my heart and soul because it hits so close to home. I am running in honor of one of my greatest friends, Scott Weaver, who has passed away of leukemia. He is my true inspiration and I cannot think of a better way to honor his memory other than to help others in the same situation. This event is being completed in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team.
The training has been slightly grueling (to say the least). But, my outlook is that, 'I can't imagine what Scott was going through or feeling. I know what I am going through physically is nothing compared to that.' I will never understand this disease, but I know what I CAN do to try to find a cure. It is now about how I can help to find a cure so no one else has to endure this. I am motivated! I am committed (or should be)! I WILL do it! And I cannot tell you how passionate I am about this (unless you let me get on my soap box; in which case, we could be here for hours)!
So, in closing, a donation would be greatly appreciated to support my participation in Team in Training and help advance LLS's mission. Please make checks payable to LLS, or you can give me cash, or you may also visit my website to donate http://pages.teamintraining.org/wa/rnrseatl09/aramosczfb.

I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
