Racing to Save LivesWelcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of my daughter Lilly, close friend Carl Poppe and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
No one should have to hear that there loved one has been diagonsed with cancer. We have heard those awful words twice. Once when our daughter Lilly was diagnosed with infant ALL, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was 11 weeks old. Then a little over a year later we were told she had a different type of cancer, therapy related AML, acute myeloid leukemia. Meaning the chemotherapy she received for her first diagnosis gave her a secondary cancer. Lilly has had large amounts of chemotherapy, total body radiation and a bone marrow transplant. For us as a family this cancer race never ends, but we keep running. We keep going forward to survive and hopefully help others along the way. Please help us fight this disease with prayer support and donating to help find a cure.
