As a way to make our fundraising more interesting, Jose and I are taking the the Microsoft-Google rivalry to our fundraising efforts.

Team Microsoft: If Microsoft out-donates Google, Carol will wear a Bing shirt to work.

Team Google: If Google out-donates Microsoft, Jose will wear a Google shirt to work. (Yes! You heard it right! He will wear a Google shirt!)

Why does this rivalry matter??

Jose works for Microsoft.

Carol works for Google.

Jose uses Bing.

Carol uses Google.

Welcome to the Team Bring It fundraising page.

For those of you that know us, you recognize that we both have very different interests:

• Jose uses Bing, and Carol uses Google.
• Jose loves the Los Angeles Lakers, and Carol loves the Miami Heat.
• Jose loves the LA Dodgers, and well, Carol loves the FL Marlins.
• Jose watches golf, and well, Carol prefers to watch real sports.
• Jose loves the gloomy weather in Seattle, whereas Carol prefers the sunshine from LA and Miami.

And while we could go on and on about the differences between us, we both have come together, setting our differences aside, to form Team Bring It!

Cancer has taken the lives of our loved ones and it is time we fight back. Team Bring It will be running the ½ marathon in the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco and needs your help. Please help us raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS).

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We are completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

If you know us, you know that running will not be easy. Jose considers playing golf a workout, while Carol considers walking to her car and driving to the dining hall a workout. We are both out of shape, but we are taking this challenge head on.

We will be posting our progress on our blog as well as writing about what this challenge means to us.
