Racing to Save Lives

I'm training to participate in my first marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. You can help me make it to the race AND saves lives by making a donation.

UPDATE (8/13): I switched marathons! I was planning to run in the Nike Womens' Marathon, but I've switched to the Seattle Marathon. This means I will run the day after Thanksgiving AND don't have to take a plane anywhere. I also only need to raise $1800, however it may take TNT some time to update my numbers on the right.

Training is going well. I recovered from a pulled muscle about a month and a half ago and have been running strong since. I'm making good use of the hills in Seattle for training. My favorite run right now is the one I start right outside my door. So convenient!

I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!

Much love, Kelsye

"Good luck with training & fundraising. You may find this challenging, but keep in mind what it goes towards. No child should ever have to go through such pain. Kyle is a 3 year old with AML (leukemia) and Tyler is his 4 year old brother who has already done one bone marrow transplant and is prepared for another to save Kyle. They motivate me to run for this cause and I hope you will find a suitable motivation as well. Thousands have raised the money and completed a marathon; you can too!! Good luck!!
