Saving Lives on Mile at a Time!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
Thank you for considering a donation and support in my efforts to complete an Olympic Distance Triathlon in honor of my friend Stacy Murphy. I am blown away by her strength and courage as she endures rounds of chemo, sickness and now a stem cell transplant. Last August Stacy was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer. As you can imagine she was shocked and confused by the news. Over the past few months her treatment has made her feel ill, un-healthy and angry. But her outlook on beating this disease has impressed all of us. She holds her head up high and still has it in her to smile; her sense of humor intact.
When I'm on my 15th mile of a 26 mile bike ride--I'm cold, wet and ponder stopping to let my muscles have a small break, I think of Stacy, chemo, pain and her smile. I say, "I can do this!" What I'm doing is nothing compared to what people living with cancer deal with on a daily basis.
Your very generous donation will help with further research to hopefully one day find a cure.
