Helping Others
I'm 'becca and this year I had planned to participate in the Lavaman Olympic Triathlon in Hawaii, March 2009, closely followed by the New Balance Half Ironman Triathlon, June 21, 2009, as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. Due to injury these triathlons have been sidelined until next year (I hope) and I am just starting to train to participate in the Chuckanut Century Bicycle ride in September.
During the past year and half, that I have been training with Team In training, I have learned many things about leukemia and lymphoma and now want, even more, to help find a cure and to help those affected by blood cancers.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
