Welcome to my fund raising page. This where I get to say a few words about why I do this and you get to click on the donate button and help me raise funds to fight cancer.

Here are my few words: I run because it's easier than chemo. I know because I've done chemo and I've trained for three distance races (one half and two full) and now I'm training for the Seattle Marathon on Nov 27. I thought I should run one in my home town. And trust me running is easier than chemo!

I'm also doing something very crazy. For my 42 birthday and to celebrate my first year in remission I'm going to attempt to run 42 miles on Sept 5, 2011. I'm going to be putting names on my shirt of patients, survivors and heroes when someone they love puts $10 in my fundraising account. If you would like a name to appear on my shirt as I run 42 miles, then please donate and in the comments field just type the name of the person(s) you would like to see on my shirt. I hope I have to wear a long sleeved shirt and it is COVERED in names. It can be any type of cancer, not just blood cancer because as soon as one is cured, they are all going to be going DOWN!
