We did it! 13.2 miles completed, but so much more accomplished!
Thanks for being a part of our team to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Together, over 619 Team In Training participants raised over $2.5 MILLION last weekend at the Walt Disney World Marathon events.
Our team, Team FIS, raised over $400,000! Thank you for your support of this great cause!
As part of our weekend events, I attended an inspiration dinner where we heard the story of (and met) Emily Whitehead, an 8 year old survivor thanks to groundbreaking treatment funded by LLS. Take a look at her amazing story here: ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6SzI2ZfPd4
Again, my wholehearted thanks to all of you who supported me during this event and supported this cause with your generous donations. Together, we really do make a difference!
Thank you for being part of the team!
I’m participating in a Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
I am running in memory of my beloved mother who lost her battle to cancer on July 2, 2013. And in honor of my amazing sister-in-law, who won her battle against Leukemia and is a testament to what is possible with life after treatment.
I have never run a Half Marathon before, but I'm giving 100% in hard work and discipline to train for this event. I ask you to please support my efforts by making a donation (big or small) with Team In Training to help advance the research for cures.
