Cancer, watch out. We have an army of committed volunteers coming after you and it's personal! On the East Coast - my good friend and prior coach, Dave Salvas is running ACROSS New Hampshire (West to East) on June 20 - 22, 2013! Dave ran the state of New Hampshire North to South two years ago! All of this was in memory of my daughter Kim! Dave will be stopping at Kims grave site at 8:30 am on June 21. Many friends of Kim, Carol and I will be meeting Dave at Kims site to get to meet my daughter through the eyes of these wonderful friends. On June 22 I will be on the WEST COAST doing the Seattle Rock n' Roll marathon. We have Kim covered from EAST to WEST!
THANKS DAVE for your love and friendship. You truly live Kims 10 life lessons! You are touching many lives (including ours). To all of my friends - you can leave a donation on
Dave's url page. You can access it at: runacrossnh.com. Please support my friend as he supports his. All of the money goes to the SAME location!!!!!! We are ALL in this TOGETHER!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the Seattle Rock n' Roll Marathon on June 22, 2013 as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
It's Personal! I lost my 19 year old daughter, Kimberly Joy Costa to hodgkins disease and my father, Ed Costa at the age of 86 to leukemia. I am blessed to have so many friends that have not only comforted my family but also know of others that are either currently battling blood related cancers; are cured of them or sadly have also lost their battle with this awful disease.
I'd like to introduce you to my daughter, Kim
My daughter is still touching people with her graduation speech and her "10 Life Lessons". I learned more from my 19 year old daughter as she battled cancer than anyone in my entire life. My daughters 5th life lesson was: "Touch as many lives as you can"...with your help WE can achieve this...
Here is my dad, Ed Costa. My father proudly was a carpet installer. He took pride in all of his installation work and was a master! I would not be instructing in the carpet installation/re-installation/repair, cleaning and restoration industry if not for my father. We lost my Dad to Leukemia!
So, watch out cancer, HERE WE COME!!!!!!
I have achieved many goals I have set out to accomplish for this marathon such as drop my weight from 252 to currently 202! There is one goal yet to be achieved; that is my fundraising goal for this marathon! Will you help?
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!! ALL DONATIONS NEED TO BE RECEIVED AND RECORDED BY JUNE 10, 2013!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME REACH MY GOAL!
To date, I have raised $170,600.03 to help find a cure. I have always been in the top 10 in fundraising with each of the 11 marathons I have completed. My goal for this marathon is $15,000. This cannot be met without your help!
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
