Racing to Save Lives: My Husband, David & Dana K, a High School Friend

My husband, David Chase, was first diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma 5 1/2 years ago. Just recently he has had to start treatment again to fight this life threatening disease and thankfully in a very short time has already shown a positive response to the medication. We are hopeful that he will be back in remission soon and be able to run in other marathons. The drugs he is being treated with weren't even available 5 years ago, but they are now because of increased research commitments made possible through contributions. David is determined to lead a long and productive life dedicated to helping others through his own generous efforts and time. It is my turn to do something to help him achieve his dreams.

Dana Kuznetzkoff , was first diagnosed with lymphoma this past year and is trying to regain her strength after undergoing similar treatment to David's nearly six years ago. Dana wasn't just any classmate at Bronx Science; during high school and throughout the past 30 years she has also always been the glue that has kept the bonds of friendship and connections going for the entire class of '79. She has worked tirelessly and usually without recognition for her efforts, but she has persisted. Now that she is facing the utmost challenge, more than ever it is time to show her support and appreciation.

In honor of David and Dana, I have committed to run in the Arizona 1/2 marathon in January as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I will be running along with my daughter, Brooke. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

More than ever, we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation so David, Dana and others can continue to lead long and productive lives.

Thanks for your support!

"Judy, Good luck to David with his fight and to you and Brooke with with this training. I'm halfway through my training for the 1/2 Las Vegas Marathon in December (for Crohn's & Colitis) and the process is amazing. Hopefully we can catch up one of these days. Best, Kenny"
