Dear friends and family,


As you know, I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the Paris Marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.


For months, I have been training hard to run this marathon in honor of my Uncle Brian Farrar. Now, this marathon means more to me than ever... Unfortunately, Uncle Brian passed away a few nights ago on his birthday (March 29th, 2013). I will now run this marathon in memory of my uncle. When the course gets difficult or when I get tired, I will think of the strength Uncle B had when battling his cancer. A friend of mine told me that my uncle will be the proudest man in heaven on April 7th as he watches me cross the finish line. I know Uncle B will be watching me every step of the way!
