Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Dublin marathon in Dublin, Ireland on Oct. 26, 2009 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am completing this event in HONOR of All individuals who are battling blood cancers and in TRIBUTE to those who did not win the battle. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Zachary (pictured here) is Charleston, SC honored heroe again this year. Zachary was diagnosed in 2005 and has been receiving chemo for three years. He finished his last treatment in July '08! Way to go tough guy!!
Because I am doing Ireland this year, I am on what is known as Virtual Team in Training. Our honored teammate for Virtual Team in Training is 13 year old Shelby Batley. Shelby was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia when she was 4 years old. Shelby went through 3 years of chemotherapy and was considered cured on April 2007. To find out more and follow Shelby's story please go to:

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Please know that any amount you can spare is appreciated.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!

P.S. Well, this year I have sent out a bunch of letters to lawyers in Charleston. Let's hope I get some donations that way! :-)
