Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page
It has been just over two years since I completed the San Diego Rock n' Roll marathon
to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. After taking some time off, I have made the decision to put on my running shoes again to train with Team and Training for one of the worlds most elite running competitions.
On October 10, 2010, I will participate in the Chicago Marathon.
As most of you know, in May of 1996 I was diagnosed with CML. After two bone marrow transplants, today I am cured and doing great!
The signature fundraising program, Team in Training (TNT), is the world's first and largest charity sports training program, raising nearly $1 billion for blood cancer research and patient support since its inception 20 years ago.
All of us associated with Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I have seen far too many good people battle these diseases and far too many loose the battle against these diseases.
I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are struggling with blood cancers. I am completing this event in memory of all of those that I know that have lost their lives to cancer. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
My primary mission now is to help find a cure for cancer. While my part is small, every little bit helps in the fight to find a cure. Your donation can help!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
