Ride in Hunter Currin's Memory
Jan 06, 2017 by Cailie Currin
When I signed up f or this ride, it was my intent to ride in honor of my father, Hunter Currin. It would have been my second ride around Lake Tahoe in his honor and in support of LLS's mission. However, Dad recently developed myelodysplastic syndrome, MDS, and after receiving 2 unsuccessful treatment cycles, he passed away on January 4, 2017. MDS is a cruel disease that left him vulnerable to infection, breathless with severe anemia and without sufficient platelets to clot his blood.
My ride is now in memory of my beloved father, who left us far too early due to two different blood cancers, first Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and more recently, MDS. I thank you for your support of LLS and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me reach my goal of a $10,000 tribute to my father.

WELCOME TO MY TEAM IN TRAINING (TNT) HOME PAGE!
It takes more than one person to make up a team and that’s why I’m asking you to donate to my TNT fundraising page for TNT!
By participating as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) TNT, I am raising funds to help find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Your donation will help fund treatments that save lives every day; like immunotherapies that use a person’s own immune system to kill cancer. You may not know it, but every single donation helps save a life with breakthrough therapies such as these.
Patients need these cures and they need your support.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help get us all closer to a world without blood cancers.
