We're back for more!


We are back for another great season with TNT and this time the board has decided to join the fun of not only fundraising but will be doing the actual event. The board has always been ready to sign us up for any and all endurance events TNT has offered. Our last Ironman was challenging physically, mentally and financially but “Team Marie!” prevailed. Now it’s time for the board to step it up a notch. VP and Co-Founder Claudia Garza will be strapping on her hiking boots (bursitis and all) and will be leading the team down the canyon. Sergeant at Arms and National Head of Security Sonia Ordaz will also be taking on the Grand Canyon and seeing it for the first time. We are all sharing in her excitement. “Team Marie!” Teen Division Director Elizabeth (Lizzy) Garza is the youngest member on staff and has accepted the challenge of raising $3,900.00 as her personal goal. Milpitas Chapter President and Head Chef Juanita Garza will be returning to her home state of Arizona to conquer the Grand Canyon once and for all. Milpitas Chapter VP Rosanna Garza-Rosenberg and Head of Logistics is also very excited and calls team meetings every chance she gets. We are all excited to do our part by hiking the Grand Canyon on May 18th, 2013 to raise funds and awareness for LLS. “Team Marie” is looking forward to this new and exciting EPIC adventure. Our “Team Marie!” family increases with every event and we are eager to welcome our future hike brothers and sisters.


Our TNT mission statement is plain and simple: “Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.”

My brother died from Aids in 1990. I participated in Aids Life Cycle in 2010 raising $5,350. My other brother & daughter have MS. I participate in Ride for MS each year. This week the bone marrow biopsy showed that his body is FREE of cancer cells. He is now 100% of his sister's healthy cells. This is truly a miracle!
