Racing Again to Save Lives
In 2007, I joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training program and ran the Marine Corp Marathon in order to raise money for the fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma.
It was and remains, one of the more meaningful and rewarding experiences of my life and this November I'm very excited to once again partner with TNT as I participate in the Richmond VA Marathon.
Team In Training is the world's largest endurance sports training program. Since 1988, more than 390,000 TNT participants have raised over $950 million for lifesaving cancer research and services to help blood cancer patients live longer, better lives. Now, we're aiming for the $1 billion mark and your tax deductible contribution can help make it happen!
I hope you will please consider making a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. No amount is too small as 75% of every dollar donated goes towards research and patient services.
Joining me this year is my step-daughter Beth Anne Woodward who blazed the ING half marathon this past March. This will be her first full marathon and I know she'll do well.
Also on the team is my wife Beth who, as before will provide me much needed encouragement, tender loving care and plenty of great food!
I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Thanks for your support!
Help save lives one mile at a time.
