Racing to Save Lives

Today was a very special day. Kaye Kriz's wonderful family and many, many friends gathered to celebrate her life. People came from everywhere, and it was good to be surrounded by such a diverse crowd of folks who knew and loved her. Kaye was our Team Honoree and TNT alum...she and I rode Lake Tahoe together two years ago. Later that summer, she had to resume treatment for her myeloma, and since then it has been a long journey for her. She had some good months, though, and she savored them. As one person said, "We all knew the same Kaye!" she was a role model for us all.
As you can see, YOU are making a difference to the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through your generous donations. We keep working toward cures and treatments - never giving up. I am truly humbled and honored by your generous hearts. Thank you.
Last Sunday I rode "Mountains of Misery" - featuring 10,000' of climbing in 100 miles...it is aptly named! That served as my last really long training ride before I leave for Lake Tahoe with Coach Rob in a few days. So - please keep us in your thoughts as we ride next Sunday, June 7. We are riding in memory of Kaye Kriz and Mike Houston, who died last July.
