Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in the Nation's Triathlon on September 13, 2009 in Washington DC as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I will swim 0.9 miles, bike 24 miles, and run 6.2 miles to raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers and speifically in honor of Summer Hess. Summer is 9 years old. She was diagnosed with Leukemia last July and is still facing at least 2 years of chemotherapy. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I have set a goal of raising $5,200.00. This is going to be quite a challenge but nothing compared to what Summer is going through. Please make a donation to support my journey with Team In Training and help find a cure!
