Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to walk in the "Adirondack Half Marathon" (13.1 miles) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. This event will be held in Schroon Lake, NY on September 26, 2010. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I personally have commited to raising $1500 by September 1st to the TEAM, but would like to achieve a higher goal of raising $2500.

I am completing this event in memory of my last Husband Neal Cirasuolo, who past away almost 20 years ago after a 4 1/2 year battle with Hogdkin's Lymphoma; also, I walk in honor of our niece's (from that marraige) dear friend Amanda Giruzzi, who was diagnosed this past February with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and is doing pretty well at this time; also in honor of all the individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the REAL HEROS on our team who fight this battle everyday of their lives, and we need your support to cross the ULTIMATE FINISH LINE ~ A CURE!

I am having a benefit to help raise this money on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 2 - 6 pm. It will be held at Jay's Bar & Grill 430 Geyser Rd. Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Skeeter Creek will be entertaining you with their High Energy, Uncredibly Talented Country Music Group... Jackie Flemming will be on board teaching you 1 or 2 Line Dance Lessons, and giving you some open dance time to show off your new dances... We'll have some Wonderful Merchandise, Certificates, etc. from local businesses that we'll be Auctioning off... There will be Face Painting for the Children... 50/50 Raffles... And of course, Food & Drinks! It's going to be a Great Time for Everybody of All Ages! Admission is a $10 Donation... We hope to see you there!
