Racing to Save Lives - Part IV
Welcome to the fourth edition of my Team In Training home page. That's right - this is my fourth time to participate in the 26.2 mile Chevron Houston Marathon. Why would I do such a thing you ask? The answer is simple - I am so tired of seeing the lives of my friends and family members negatively affected by this disease; therefore, I am on a personal mission to see that cancer is finally cured. I cannot sit back and do nothing. Of course I cannot accomplish this crusade without the help of others. For the past three years I have been able to raise a total of $7248.34. I am hoping this year will put my individual efforts over the $10,000 mark.
How you can help!!!!
Every donation, no matter how big or small, gets us one step closer to finding the cure. With the latest advances in science and technology I am confident that day will come. But until cancer is finally cured, we need to continue funding the research and treatment necessary to reach our goal.
Please be a part of my mission and help me if you can. This is not just for me; this is for you as well. This is for anyone you know that has unnecessarily died as a result of cancer. This is for anyone you know that has battled cancer and is currently in remission. Most importantly, this is for anyone you know that will be diagnosed with cancer in the future. Remember - this is 100% tax deductible and going to a good cause.
If you prefer not to donate through the website, you can write a check or money order. Send me an email at DPBenciv@aol.com for more information on how to do this.
Please send this link to as many people as you know.
Please, please, please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
