Run..Run..Running to Save Lives

Thank you and welcome to my Team In Training home page!

I'm training to participate in an endurance event (BMO Vancouver International Marathon 2009 - yep, 26.2 miles) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling various kinds of cancers and my grandfather who couldn't live to see his granddaughter's wedding day because of cancer. I need your support for not only completing the marathon but also to cross the ultimate finish line of helping to find a cure for the dreaded disease in memory of my grandfather, S. Mohinder S. Mann, and many others who lost their lives to cancer or are currently struggling to survive. These people are the true heroes and supporting them financially is the least we can do for them. I promise hard work on my part so that I finish this marathon for I have experienced the pain of losing a loved one to cancer but I would need your support emotionally and financially.

Before you donate, please remember:

$80 would cover the cost of 5 days of parking for a patient at treatment at Houston's Medical Center

$141 would be the equivalent of $1/day for each day I will train

$288 would honor every child or adult who will be diagnosed today

I know that times are tough right now - but cancer doesn't take a break because of a bad economy. Our donations will help families during this tough time with their medical bills. It will also go toward research to one day find a cure!
