I can't bring myself to delete my original email below. My mission is stronger today than it ever was! Johnny Romano was and always will be my hero! Brave, couragous, tough, strong...everything you can imagine that a super hero should be! He fought cancer with such force that everyone believed that he would conquer and win! But tragically, the battle was lost on September 23, 2008. Johnny left this world for a much better place. He will be missed by his parents, Mike and Julie, his big bro Joey and his lovely little sis, Sophie. His departure leaves behind thousands of friends and fans as well. He will be greatly missed.

But no fear little man!

We will continue to fight....

we will WIN this war for YOU!!!

FOR JOHNNY!

This is Julie and the Romano boys (Johnny is the cool dude sitting in front of me and his cool big brother, Joey, standing in front of their mom Julie!)

I will be participating in the Nike Women's Marathon this October in honor of our friend Johnny Romano! Johnny's mom completed the 2007 Nike Women's Marathon my Clear Lake Team in Training group and I had the pleasure of getting to know her and her family during the training season. This is a truly remarkable family with one goal in life...curing Johnny!

Johnny recently relapsed and is once again making a name for himself at Texas Children's Hospital! He is taking no crap from cancer and will not stop until he has beaten it!

According to Jacob, Johnny is the coolest kid he knows! He loves skateboarding and surfing (and he's fantastic at both) and according to mom a kick ass UNO player! haha!!

I decided that I couldn't wait until next year to find a way to do something for Johnny and his family! So, yes...I'm at it again!

Jacob and I have decided to call ourselves the Romano Running Rebels (RRR)! There's a secret...and we're not telling, but it's going to be great and Johnny is going to love it! Break'n the rules and having fun....just for you Johnny!
