Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in the Lone Star TRIATHLON on April 24th in Galveston as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of my dad, Jim Chaffin, who is battling Multiple Myeloma and my cousin Shannon Chaffin, who was diagnosed with large diffuse b-cell lymphoma on February 5th as well as all individuals who are battling blood cancers. Shannon is pictured on my website. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Update on 2/28/10

My cousin Shannon found out he is Stage 4 with an aggressive cancer. Please keep him in your prayers.

Please pray for the Salch family as Steve Salch went to be with the Lord this morning. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and left footprints on my heart. He will be missed.

Update on 3/17/10

Preliminary results show COMPLETE REMISSION for my dad!!!! God is so good!
