Cancer.....it has either affected you, a family member or someone you know and the numbers just keep increasing. Cancer is Cancer and we need to find a cure. I am honored to be a part of Team Lulu and WE are Racing to Save Lives!
I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

This is a major commitment, not only in training to ride 100 miles in Hawaii, but raising the funds in order to travel with my team to complete the ride I've trained for. Every week our team is meeting in various locations around the Houston area to train. I've completed rides of 31, 32, 44 and 49 miles and each week it will increase. I am so blessed to have the physical ability to train as there are so many that cannot. I can only thank God each and every day that he has blessed me with great health and endurance.
This is where I need your help! I will commit to my training and in completing the 100 mile race in September, if you will commit in standing with me by donating some much needed dollars to this cause. No amount is too small as it will all add up towards my $4,500 goal.
Our Honored Teammate:

The Cycle team’s Honored Teammate is Emeri. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in June of 2006. Emeri has been in remission since September 2008, which means that she has periodic tests, scans, and exams to ensure that her cancer is kept in check. She has an annual "birthday" celebration at the hospital to celebrate her remission anniversary. Emeri had not really understood what the fuss was all about until recently, when it was explained to her that they celebrate her remission because some children don't survive cancer. Let that sink in for a moment and then think about a 7 year old child processing that information.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
