HEY! HEY! HEY!

Welcome to my team in training web page for the Austin 10/20 event! I am soo excited you came to visit! Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) does an amazing job in providing opportunities for research, education, and programs for patients and their families. And I am soo psyched to have the opportunity to be with them. Believe it or not my opportunity came in through mail, and my initial intentions were to just donate myself and not join. Then I went to a information meeting and I was hooked, ended up join two events and donating!! I was hooked with the pictures that were presented at the meeting. The pictures of patients, current and passed, who were affected by these diseases. It was overwhelming to realize that these are people I could have known. There are sooo many children, grandparents, parents, and friends who die every year because of these diseases. Estimates of 138,530 people in the US were diagnosed in 2008. While an estimated 52,910 adults and children will dies this year from lymphoma and leukemia. If it were not for organizations like LLS, we would not have the survival rate we do now.

Team in Training is made up of an amazing group of people who come together to try to fundraise money for the LLS'S cause. As they say, "We train to find a cure". Help me and my team mates find a cure for blood cancers.

With this organization it is very easy to donate and there are many ways to donate. You could volunteer to participate in Team in Training; they do sessions every year and are always looking for volunteers. You would also be volunteering just by spreading the word or sharing this website. To donate to my campaign all you would have to do is use the handy dandy tool on the right. You can also see the people who have donated to me right below that. I cannot express how grateful I am for all your donations.
