I had such an amazing experience running with Team in Training (TNT) the last several months in preparation of 'I Run for the Party Nashville Half Marathon,' which I ran on November 13th, that I'm currently training for my second half marathon with TNT! I initially signed up for TNT after meeting extraordinary people whose lives had been affected by blood cancers. It was an indescribable experience to have those who have fought and are currently winning their battle with a form of Leukemia/Lymphoma running right beside me. It was also a humbling experience to know that others beside me were running in honor of those who had fought and lost their battle; though it was inspirational to know that we were all running for the purpose of funding research to help others who are in the midst of their battle against Leukemia/Lymphoma.
During last season only one of my roommates and I signed up to run. After we accomplished our first half marathon we convinced our other roommates to join. That's right, 5 women you will come to know as The JAVA House Joggers, are on a mission to fund research for a cure while we train for a half marathon! We are maintaining a blog and I invite you to subscribe to keep up to date with our experiences and fundraising shenanigans as we share this adventure to train for the Country Music Half Marathon and raise money to find a cure for blood cancers....
