Hi! I'm Beau. Welcome to my Team In Training page.

I'm training to run the Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN on April 25, 2009 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling and have battled blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

As promised, here's an update on the training. We had our first Group Run with TNT today and it went great! Just a short 2 mile run through downtown Chattanooga to get us started after meeting for our Kick-Off Party at Walker Pavilion in Coolidge Park. Even at 11am it was definitely still a bit chilly at 38 degrees, but we had a great start and are looking forward to training together! Thank you for all of your support! Training is going well but continuing to be challenging in the bitter winter months. There's been many days of running in below freezing temps that I'm hoping will pay off in April. We did our longest run yet last Saturday...13 miles!!! That's officially the farthest I've ever run and I'm definitely sore from it but it was GREAT. I'm mailing in more donations this week that have come in by mail and with your help, I'm getting closer to my reaching my goal. There's still a long way to go and I need your support and prayers to get there. Thank you so much for donating in my honor and supporting everyone who is battling blood cancers. Only with your support can we continue to race for a cure to leukemia and lymphoma!

Thank you for your continued support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and my training for the Country Music Marathon. Training is going well and the race is getting closer every day. I've still got some distance to cover with my fundraising so any support you can give would be so greatly appreciated by me and the many people that are supported through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
