I'm fundraising for the Philadelphia Marathon on November 20, 2016, to sponsor my training with Team In Training (TNT), part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I have a mission: to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I'm improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
This will be my nineteenth season with TNT (previously half marathons in San Francisco and Vancouver, BC, and full marathons—26.2 miles!—in Portland, San Francisco, Napa, Victoria BC, Atlanta, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Chattanooga, Oakland, Richmond [twice], San Luis Obispo [twice], New York City, Chicago, and Seattle) and I welcome anyone who would like to make a repeat donation to a great cause!
I use my personal website to keep a log of my TNT training and races. Be sure to check there frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
PS: That photo is me finishing the 2009 Royal Victoria Marathon, my best marathon performance. But visit this link on my website to find out why the clock time seems suspiciously impressive!
