"GO NATALIE…..You are the first person I know that is competing in a triathlon. I can’t believe that you are going to swim 1 mile, cycle 24 miles and run 6 miles all in one day, and to do this to raise money to help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma Cancer.
YOU ARE AMAZING!
You don’t know how much it means to me that you are honoring my sister-in-law Kathy. Kathy has been in our family for 26 years. She is a wonderful wife, an outstanding mother, a great sister and sister-in-law and a loving person. She is very special to all of us in our family and we love her very much. Kathy is a teacher’s aide for special needs kids. She and my brother Don, have two great kids who attend Cherokee high school. She was a Competitive Cheering Coach for approximately nine years to support her beautiful daughter, Kylie, who has been a cheerleader for many years. She also supports her son, Drake, who is an excellent athlete, by attending all of his games throughout the years. Currently she is going through chemo treatments and when she feels better, she still finds time to cut hair for friends and family. She is a beautiful woman who likes to dance and have fun. Kathy has a lot of family and she means the world to all of us. Thank you for honoring such a special person. We continue to keep her in our prayers and hope they find a cure for her Cancer real soon.
We can’t wait to watch you cross the finish line on race day, June 28, 2009.

I heard that the swimming aspect of the triathlon was extremely difficult;
