Racing to Save Lives
I am going to run the Nike Womens Marathon again on October 18, 2009 to Benefit The Leukemia & Lympoma Society in San Francisco.
My training will again begin very shortly and I will endure another 5 months of training to reach my goal. But my battle will never match the battle that leukemia patients meet every day of their lives, with some of them being cut way too short. My goal is help be a part of finding a cure so nobody will ever have to endure these blood cancers again. Please find it in your heart to give, any amount will help bring us one steip closer to a cure.
I am running in memory of Ronald K Brownlee, Jr. who lost his battle to cancer on June 5, 2008 at the age of 22. I pray for his family everyday and for the families of many others that we will no longer need to cure cancers-that we will have CURED cancer. In every step I take along the course, I remember the reason I am out there.
This is my 7th event as a participant for Team In Training, please help by donating to the cause. And don't for get to check back and see my progress over the next 5 months.....
If you have a person close to you touched by a blood cancer or have lost someone dear to you by Leukemia, Lymphoma or any type of cancer- I will list their name on my website and wear a ribbon for them on my singlet on race day, just tell me their name.
