Helping to Bring The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society one step closer to finding a Cure!

I know what you are all thinking....OH NO- not again!!! How many times can Barbara ask for donations? Well, I'll tell you...As many times as it takes until they find a cure... I am still training with Team In Training for the Nike Womens Marathon in San Francisco on October 19, 2008. The sole purpose of the marathon is to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

I have completed 2 full marathons (26.2 miles) and 8 half marathons (13.1 miles) running. The 2 fulls and 2 halves were with Team in Training and I have raised approximately $14,000 since becoming a participant in 2005. My personal goal is to raise $6000 to have raised a total of $20,000 in honor of Team In Trainings' 20th Anniversary. I am halfway there.

I have signed on for another event!! The Disney Marathon in Orlando, Florida in Jan 2009. I am training again for the Disney Marathon 2009 to fight cancer!

Pictured above are the Team In Training particpants that helped support the 1st Annual Run For Life 5K & 1 Mile Fun Walk. It was a great day, weather was nice and everyone had fun. All proceeds benefitted The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thank you to all who particpated.
