My Fundraising Page

About a year ago, I decided to run my first first marathon. When I started my journey, I was determined to cross the finish line--and I did! I was tired and sore for weeks, but now I can call myself a marathoner. Just like last year, by the time the big day comes, I will have run over 300 miles through some of the prettiest places in the Bay Area--including beautiful ocean views in Golden Gate Park, Pacifica, and Half Moon Bay.
I was tired and sore for weeks after last year's marathon. But that was nothing compared to what patients with blood cancer face. As survivor Carolyn Camero put it:
"One morning I was showering, getting ready for another day at the office, when I found a lump on my leg, right where it merges with the pelvic area. I knew that unexplained lump needed to be checked out. I made an appointment with my doctor and was told that I have Non-Hodgkin's Follicular Lymphoma stage 1. I started radiation on Valentine's Day 2011 and had 22 treatments. My last treatment was March 2011, no evidence of disease since then."
I'm raising funds to help The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society find cures and better treatments for blood cancers. Please help me spread the word and share this page with your family and friends! Post it to your facebook wall. Tweet it.
Thank you for helping LLS achieve their mission.
