Dear Family & Friends,

Jocelyn and Jen are teaming up this year as Mama & Mia, The Dancing Queens to raise funds to support Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in pursuit of their mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We are currently training with Team in Training to participate in Nike Women's Marathon 2012, taking place in San Francisco on October 14, 2012. Jocelyn will be doing the walk/run half marathon, and Jen will be running in her 4th complete marathon.

Many of you know that we lost our dear Mom/Grandma back in 2001 to leukemia. Although she faced her diagnosis with courage and grace, the disease was devastating and indefensible. Since that time, we are commited to support the LLS mission.

Some very disturbing facts about blood cancers:

• An estimated 957,902 people in the United States are living with blood cancer or are in remission
• Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with some type of blood cancer
• Every 10 minutes someone dies from blood cancer
• Leukemia is responsible for more deaths than any other cancer among children under the age of 20

So, as you can see, there is a strong need to support the mission of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is where you come in...

We need your support! We need your financial support...your money...lots of it and as soon as you can! We know that many people are suffering hard economic times, and it is very difficult for us to ask you to donate to a cause that we have chosen to support, but...blood cancers can hit any of us at any time. We want to be able to defend against it.

Many of you were so generous in your donations to either or both of us last year when we participated in this event. We truly appreciated it then and hope that we can count on your support again this year.
