TeamMac devotes 35 hours to help raise $20,000 for LLS at the Fundraiser "RACE TO THE END OF SUMMER" (Scott devotes 20 hours and Sue 15).

Congratulations to Juana and Emory for a hugely successful event! Sue Mac discovered it is EASIER and QUICKER to run a half marathon than to help put on one on!!! ALSO TeamMac is moving closer to our Season Fundraising GOAL ! Shout out to all of our loyal fans !

"We Will Never Forget"

What an emotional week ! Scott and I spent 9/11 supporting the athletes, Police and EMS at the Big Kahuna 1/2 Iron Man. I spent the day with George a retired CHP Officer and Scott spent his day supporting 2 - Santa Cruz Motorcycle Police Officers. In our way it was a way to "give back" to the folks that keep us safe. For me this was the 10th time this year I supported a community event (race, water stop, Festival). Make me appreciate the follks that support me when I run!

Today, Scott and I enjoyed a wonderful sunrise while running at Rancho San Antonio in Cupertino. We are really working the hills getting ready for NIKE ! See photo from the top of the trail at upper left !

We Left Our Hearts In San Francisco

Satuday, Sept 10 we ran the most energizing 18 miles we have every completed ! Great experience of running up and then down the hills of Nike. Take that Nike Hills ! And Lake Merced was so beautiful and alive !

Onward and upward as we look forward to our September 24th - 20 Miler and tour of the Monterey Peninsula! We ARE jazzed !

Our Passion for the Cause Pushes Us Towards the September 4, 2011 Update: Thanks for visiting our home page. 2011 has been a bittersweet year. We are celebrating incredible advances in gene therapy for cancer and the development of vaccines from tumors. AND celebrating the victories of Sandra, 'T' Todd, Keith, and Sylvia who been given "cancer free passes"! But we are mourning the losses of Kitty, Jim, Ken, Shirley, mighty mite Aaden, and now Terry.

Personally, our passion to overcome has pushed us to trainer harder and longer . During the past few weeks we have moved our training from the flats of the Guadalupe to the hills of Rancho San Antonio. We are becoming hard bodies with the determination to rock the course at every run.

Last weekend Scott tackled his first '16 miler' EVER at Coyote Creek while Sue took on the San Francisco 'Giants 1/2 Maratrhon Race' on Saturday and a warmdown 6 miler in Campbell on Sunday. We will not be stopped !

Now we are preparing to take on a "18 Nike Prep" in San Francisco next weekend AND "the Monterey 20" Sept 24.

We are training to participate in an endurance event as members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We are completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Last Season we ran/cycled in memory of Kitty Rugebregt, Little Ninja Aaden, and their loving families . And in honor of Sandra Rasmussen and Todd Moore. Our challenges paled in comparission to these courageous warriors
