Yes, I am running to Save Lives

"A journey of a thousand miles [or 13.1 miles] begins with a single step."

Although I was sidelined for a couple of weeks with a knee injury, I am back on training and more determined than ever!

Training so far has been a great learning experience and has pushed me physically farther than I ever thought my body could go.

I learned last week that I've shaved off 2 minutes/mile since I started training! But on top of the great learning experience, its also been extremeley enlightening and life altering.

Only 2 more weeks before the San Francisco Nike Marathon and as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training we are amped up to continue raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Again, I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling or who have battled blood cancers including our team's Honorees, my godbrother Brian, my good friend's mom Tina & another friend's dad, Andres. These people and their families are the real heroes, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
